Stephen "Tip Toe" Hunter, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Stephen graduated from Covington High School in Covington, VA. Stephen gave his life back to God. He was a committed and devoted husband, loving sibling, faithful friend and loveable Uncle. He proudly served in the United States Army. Stephen loved detailing cars, and worked for Neil Huffman, Cardinal Dodge, Hyundai of Louisville, Byerly Ford, and Budget Car Rental.
He was born on January 19, 1957 in Covington, Virginia to Moses and Bernice (Boxley) Hunter. He is preceded in death by his Father, Moses Hunter, Sr. and Sister, Jewel Lewis.
Stephen is survived by his loving Wife of 12 years, Erica Deramus Hunter, Daughters, Kim Jordan, and Keisha Jordan, Son, Terrell Cardwell, Mother, Bernice Hunter, Siblings, Morinda Hunter, Moses Hunter, Jr., Valerie Champion, Garry (Teresa) Hunter, Donna Hunter, and Karen Adams, Grandchildren, Jordan Ward, and Jalen Ward, Special Friends, Clarence "Gut" Twitty, Deborah Twitty, Eric "Chipper" Mack, Milton "Dick"Helton, Nancy Jordan, T.L. Dickerson, Tony "Smooth" Allen, Harold "Brother" Hunter Jr, Nathan Horton, and a special God Daughter Angela "Tink" Deramus; whom she called Stephen "Toe Toe". Stephen also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Extended Family and Friends.
The Family would like to give a Special Thank You, to the University of Louisville Hospital in the ICU and Stroke Unit. Also, the Veterans Hospital Hospice Palliative Care, and all the Doctors, Nurses, and Hospital Staff who cared for Stephen during his illness.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial and Military Honors to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
