Stephen A. Gettelfinger, 52, died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Steve was a long-time farmer whose passion in life were his faith, family, and farming.
Steve was born on January 9, 1960 in New Albany to Cletus H. and Priscilla A. (Briscoe) Gettelfinger.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Theresa J. "TJ" (Beach) Gettelfinger; children, Michael (Jillian), Kelsey, Nathaniel, Tressa, and Carissa Gettelfinger; siblings, Bernadette Irish (Mark), Chris Gettelfinger (Beth), Michelle Whittaker (Barry), Matthew Gettelfinger (Nancy), Roxanne Lambert (Dennis), Joy Sill (Brian), Andria Renfrow (Chad), Meritha Corzatt, and Alex Gettelfinger (Alice); grandmother, Elizabeth Briscoe; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors, all of whom will miss him greatly.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 and 2 to 8 PM on Thursday at St. Michael's Bradford (11400 Farmers Lane Northeast, Bradford) with a Rosary Service at 4 PM on Thursday. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University Simon Cancer Center (1030 West Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202).
