Stephanie Ann (Hendrix) Stewart, 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
She was born on December 24, 1960, in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Sandra (Hendrix) Burke. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Mary Elizabeth Hunt uncle, Christopher Wayne Hunt, and aunts Linda McNary and Betty Morrow.
Stephanie is survived by her loving son, Damon Jermaine Terry, mother Sandra Lee Burke (Jack), one grandson, Damon Jermaine Terry, II, three siblings: Sherri Dulin, Dorden Burke (Dona), Yvonne Feeley (Kevin) and cousins, Jacquetta Rollins, Donna Lynn Gilbert, and Tamura Jones. She is also survived by her friend and colleague, Jennifer Trent.
Stephanie spent her formative years in both Indiana and Kentucky. She graduated from West Hopkins High School in 1978, playing basketball and running track. She also enjoyed bowling in her spare time. A medical professional committed to her community, she made hats and scarves for the homeless in addition to volunteering at local nursing homes.
Please remember Stephanie by remembering her good works. Keep hats and scarves in your car during winter to hand out to those who need them. Volunteer at your nursing home and support the elderly.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
