Stanley James Richeson, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Stanley was a devoted Christian, loving the Lord and giving to excess, and loved spending time with his family. During their marriage Stanley and Janet were parents to over 300 foster children. Stanley never met a stranger and will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on July 22, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his Father, Donald Lee Schultz, Mother, Jesse Louise Schultz, Wife, Janet Richeson, and Sister, Deborah Yates.

Stanley is survived by his loving family, Sister, Melissa Whann, Daughter, Elizabeth Jean Schwenker, Step-Son, Richard Joe (Martha) McLin, Grandchildren, Alexis (Ahmed) Alidani, Kim (Gary) Jones, Jason (LeeAnn) Buchanan, and Jennifer (Brent) Carrier, Daughter, Michelle Tunstall, Best Friend, Debra Terry, Foster-Daughter, Alisia (Tom) Combs, 11 Great-Grandchildren, Niece, Kaylee Whann, Niece, Jessica Whann, 17 Great-Nieces and Nephews, as well as a host of family, foster children, and friends to cherish his loving memory.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Stanley's memory be made to Kentucky Veterans Administration or Shively Worship Center (1810 Appleton Ln., Shively, KY 40216).
