Stanley Robert Gill Sr.

Stanley Robert Gill Sr., 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, entered into rest on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Stanley enjoyed going fishing. He had a passion for flowers and gardening, and enjoyed his time in his vegetable garden and hosting cookouts at the home. Stanley was a member of Shively Christian Church. He worked for Louisville Special Police and truly cared about those who served our Community. Stanley was a proud Husband, Father, and Grandfather, and was especially proud of his Grandson in the United States Marine Corps. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born on April 17, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert and Gertrude (Wilkerson) Gill. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and a Brother and Sister.

Stanley is survived by his loving Wife of 40 years, Nickie Gill, Daughter, Pamela (Sherrell) Reynolds, Son, Stanley "Robbie" (Janette) Gill, Jr., Son, Vincent (Amanda) Padgett II, Daughter, Heather Wright, Daughter, Rachel (Jeremy) Kidd, Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, James, Nathan, Kirsten, Lance, Brooklyn, Maci, and Liam, Brother, Daniel Gill, Sister, Doris Metters. Stanley also leaves behind to cherish his memory 6 Great Grandchildren, his beloved dog "Maverick" and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
