Stacy Monique Mills

August 8, 1960 — September 15, 2023

Stacy Monique Mills, age 63 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 15, 2023.

Born August 8, 1960 in Columbus, OH, she was a daughter of Carol Redd and the late Howard Redd.
She was a 1978 graduate of Athens High School in Troy, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Louisville, with a degree in telecommunications.

She worked as an intern for WAVE TV and began pursuing her dream of becoming a TV anchor. Her career took her to Michigan, where she worked at a major hospital chain, among other things, filming for educational purposes. Her career path changed, where her focus became holistic whole body natural supplements.
During her time in Michigan, she met her partner of 25 years. Together, they traveled and lived in many places, but New Zealand was among her favorites. After moving back to the states, she lived in Colorado before returning to Louisville.

Other than her loving mother Carol, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother Steven (Lauren) Redd; her sister Sherry (Dan) Ledgerwood; her aunt Norma Kennedy; her partner, Rhonda Wendzel; loving aunt to Michael (Helen) Redd, Jenn (Michael) Abbate, Jason (Meagan) Ledgerwood, Danielle (Andrew) Anderson, and Melissa Ledgerwood; loving great aunt to George, Virginia, James, Jackson and Elizabeth; Stacy leaves behind many loving cousins; and her cherished devoted dog Mia; and cat, Bailey.

She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and actively participated in the church, volunteering including singing in the church choir. She was inspired by the little things, the simple things in life. Stacy was upbeat, positive and had a zest for life. Her smile lit up the world. She loved people and never met a stranger. She was a lover of animals and sports, especially U of L Basketball, particular the Lady Cardinals. She loved all sports, and was an avid sports fan. She had a passion for recycling, and had a deep connection with nature. She enjoyed hiking, biking and being in the outdoors. She had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh all the time.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any animal rescue of your choice.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony to remember Stacy will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Trinity Presbyterian Church (10200 Shelbyville Rd, Anchorage, KY 40223) with a gathering to follow until 4pm.
