Stacy Lynn (Simpson) Conde, of Lanesville, Indiana, beloved wife of Arlan Conde for 7 years, died peacefully at the age of 38 on June 24, 2023, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Simpson; stepfather, Richard "Papa" Saylor; grandfather, Warner House; grandmother, Norma House; and step-grandfather, Eddie "Poppy" Stinson.
She is survived by her husband, Arlan Conde; children, Bayleigh and Ezekiel Conde; mother, Sally Saylor; grandmother, Shirley Stinson; and sisters, Marcella Gadd (John), Gwendolyn MacIntosh (Michael), and Ariel Saylor. Stacy was blessed with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Stacy was born on November 8, 1984, in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a graduate of Corydon Central High school. She was a fun-loving, compassionate girl, who loved to be silly and also had a lot of spunk. She loved being around her family and friends. Stacy enjoyed cleaning and organizing and was so good at it that, for a time, she was running her own little cleaning business and would love helping family and friends. She loved candles and lighting them, especially after a good house clean was done, even better if there was a thunderstorm. She loved the thunder and rain, but also she loved the beach and going on family vacations.
Stacy would go on to marry and found her ultimate passion in life was raising her two beautiful children. She loved and adored her children; they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed in her children's faces, you would see the pure joy radiating from her. She enjoyed sitting outside their home and watching her children play. Stacy had said once that she believed her purpose for being on this earth was to have brought her children into it.
She loved to ask others if she could pray for them, despite what was going on in her life. Above all else, she had a powerful testimony and would tell anyone who would listen that her overcoming the shackles of addiction was through her renewed faith she found in Christ Jesus. Beloved Bible verses of hers that resonated strongly with her was from the NLT Bible verses Psalm 119:57-60: "Lord, you are mine! I promise to obey your words! With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised. I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws. I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands."
The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Hosparus Health and Hosparus Inpatient Care Center for their outstanding care. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all who provided food, messages, cards, visits, help, encouragement, and, most especially, prayers during Stacy's illness.
