Stacy Elizabeth Boyd, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on March 2, 2024.
Stacy Elizabeth Boyd, the youngest born to the union of the late Willie "Tody" Boyd and Norma Jean Cordell on November 22, 1966. Stacy departed this life on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at University of Louisville Hospital.
Stacy professed Christ at an early age and lived a life loving encouraging, and caring for all she met.
She attended Jefferson County Public Schools and graduated from Seneca High School. Stacy attended Western Kentucky University, completed her studies, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Louisville.
After graduation Stacy served in various positions in the field of social work. She impacted the lives of many children and young adults that will forever be better because of her straight-forward sincere and compassionate guidance. She worked at the Home of the Innocence for many years and most recently served as Case Manager at St. Vincent DePaul. In the past she worked as a Teacher's Aide at Shawnee and Park DuValle schools and the Food Stamp Office.
Stacy loved to be around her family and enjoyed good times and good food. She loved to laugh and as a little girl got the nick name
"Happy Jack". One thing for sure, she would speak the truth. Her yes was yes, and her no was no. Mild tempered, patient, and soft spoken, however don't try her, she would use whatever she had in her hand or nearby to get your attention and straight. She shared wisdom, guidance, and encouraged you to be and do your best. And always tell you to get up and try again.
She was preceded in death by her father and brothers, Roderick "Ricky" and Jeffrey Boyd.
She leaves to cherish her memories her life partner, Jonathan "John" Childs, sons; Norris Boyd, Sr. (Di' Asia), Marquese Cordell, Sr., sister Angela Bond (Larry, Sr.), brothers; Kevin Williams, Dennis Boyd (LaSonya) Delshaun Cordell, Sister-in-law Delisa Boyd, 5 grandchildren; Norris, Jr., Nazir, Nor Riyah, Na'Ceiom, and Marquese Cordell, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends, and her Foster children, Josh, Kendra, Quantae', and Pat.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive).
