Shirley Ann (Bailey) Quakenbush

Shirley Ann (Bailey) Quakenbush, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, as well as the Beta Sigma Phi and Psi Iota - Zi sororities.

She was born on December 4, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Edwin, Sr., and Hilda (Huechtker) Bailey. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Edwin Bailey, Jr., Mary Lee Beasley, and Carole Richards.

Shirley is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Ronald Quakenbush; children, Timothy Quakenbush and Ronelle Duff (Taylor); brother, Allan Bailey (Phyllis); grandchildren, Courtney Wooley (Chase), Casey Sheehan (Patrick), Bailey Duff, and Peyton Duff; great-grandchildren, Ava, Canon, Ella, and Wyatt; niece, Kimberly Phillips (Thomas); and nephew, David Puckett.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
