Shirley Ann Moloney

Shirley Ann Moloney, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Shirley was a loving and devoted mother. She was strong, stubborn, and a hard worker. Shirley was a devoted employee at King Fish for 56 years. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on April 9, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to Gilbert and Louise (Hawkins) Gritton. She is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Gritton; father, Gilbert Gritton; husband, Edward Patrick Moloney; and son, Edward Francis Moloney.

Shirley is survived by her loving family, children, Debra Florence, Robert (Cheryl) Desurne, James Edward (Lu) Desurne, Toni (Dave) Sibley, Cheryl (Dennis) Pitts, Patricia (Donald) Hardesty, Michael Anthony Moloney as well a host of lots and lots of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A Celebration of her life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Shirley's memory be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
