Shirley Ann McFarland was born on August 22nd, 1950, in Dickson, Tennessee to John and Annie Mae Primm.
She was the beloved wife to Connie McFarland the two were married for 38 wonderful years. Shirley had an amazingly large family that loved her dearly. She was blessed to have 7 children 5 boys and 2 girls, 25 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. Let's just say this kept her busy.
Much of her life was spent being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She took great pride in her beautiful family, and she always provided love and support for them. Her favorite moments were with her family enjoying a great family cookout with lots of food and fun, and that ended with everyone surrounding the table for a game of poker. Shirley was a wonderful cook, an amazing poker player, and on a beautiful Saturday morning you could catch her negotiating at a local yard sale. Shirley was well known for her ability to spread love and kindness through her incredible soul food dishes. If you came over to her home, she wouldn't allow you to leave on an empty stomach. She had a laugh and smile that were absolutely contagious.
She will be missed by so many that had the opportunity to be in her presence because to know her was to love her. Shirley is survived by her husband Connie McFarland, her 5 sons, and their wives the late Stanley Primm and his wife Sheena Primm, Otis (Tiger) & Debbie Gerron, David & Crystal Gerron, Reggie & Kaela Gerron, Andre & Kim Gerron. Along with her two daughters Patricia Galloway and her husband Doyle Jones & her daughter Sharlene (Nene) Gerron. Her 2 bonus children Bryan McFarland and Monica Forte. Her 3 sisters the late Mildred Primm, Viola Edmondson, and Judy Wilkins and her husband Paul Wilkins. And lastly, she will be well remembered by a multitude of loving relatives and friends. We are all so thankful for the years that we shared with her.
