Shirley Marie Matthews age 77, was called home on May 26, 2014. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially being a grandma. Shirley loved to be outdoors and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her son Dale Arthur Jr.. She is survived by her husband Charles of 33 years, children; Karen, Duane, Bruce and Anthony, eight grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a loving daughter-in-law Jeanie. A sister, Bonnie Nelligan and a brother, Everette Storms.
In lieu of flowers memorial expressions can be made to The Kentucky Kidney Foundation.
Visitation will be on Thursday May 29, 2014 from 12-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,KY 40243. Service will be on Friday May 30, 2014 at 2:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.
