Shirley Louise Vaughn, 64, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. She retired from Norton Healthcare as a medical transcriber. Her passion was fostering and loving Golden Retrievers. She loved her flowers and having a good time.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Annie Wherry and aunt, Dorothy.
She is survived by her husband, Les Vaughn; son, Kevin Barnhouse; granddaughter, Morgan Chambliss; great-grandson, Kaleb Baxter; mother, Ella Louise Chapman; brothers, Darrell (Judy) Chapman and Harold (Sandi) Chapman; 3 nieces and aunts, Wanda Steele and Margie Ray.
Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2014, from 4pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway)and Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 9am until time for services beginning at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that contributions be made to GRRAND, P.O. Box 6132, Louisville, KY 40206.
