Sheryl Vanwinkle

Sheryl VanWinkle, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Sheryl was a loving mom, mamaw, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus Christ. She always loved to shop especially at the Flea Market. Cooking and taking care of others were her passion. The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year. She had a soft spot in her heart for all animals. Sheryl will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on November 16, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Eugene and Kathleen (Davis) Woodside. She is preceded in death by her Father, Eugene Woodside, Mother, Kathleen Woodside, Daughters, Cindy Elias, Destiny VanWinkle, Chartruse Scott, and Sister, Lynne Rupe.

Those left to cherish Sheryl's memory are Dottie Stotman (Mom); Children, Tammy K. (Levi) Landelius, Lori J. Scott, Sassy, and Raymond E. (Stephanie) VanWinkle; Grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Seth, Shawn, Kayla (Matt), Sarah, Josh, Samantha, Madison, Trevor, Travis, Reece, McKenna, Desarain, Chance, Cheri, Allen, and Many Great-Grandchildren; Nephew, Paul Jr.; Niece, Chrissy; Cousin, Steve, as well as a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Sheryl's memory be made to Local Humane Society.
