Shelia Lynn Lafond

Shelia Lynn Lafond, 73, passed away on August 14, 2022. She was a faithful servant of God; whom she loved deeply. Shelia was a 1966 graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School and she was a member of the alumni club. She was a successful Mary Kay consultant since 1996, winning numerous awards. Shelia was a die hard UK fan. Her grandson, Jack, was the apple of her eye and she enjoyed the time she spent with him. Shelia was blessed with numerous friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnalynn and Edward Lee Edds and Grandmother, Settie "Granny" Phillips.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Cathy (Roy) Leggett; son, Johnny Caporale; grandson, Jackson "Jack" Leggett; sister, Gayle Armstrong; brothers, Mark (Linda) Edds and Larry (Anita) Lafond; aunt, Marcella (Norwood) Coomer; niece, Malorie Edds; great-niece, Kimber Edds; numerous cousins; life-long best friend/sister, Ina Metts and friend and loving companion, Ed Vardeman.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm with a celebration of Shelia's life beginning at 6pm.
