Sheila Kay Young

Sheila Kay Young, 57, of Fairdale, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at her home. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 30, 1960 to Lillie Watts and the late Ernest Thompson. She was a dedicated employee of Waffle House.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Thompson and Dennis Thompson; a sister, Carol Watts; and step-father, Eugene Watts.

Sheila is survived by her beloved children, Rosa (Jeremy Kemp) Whitfill, Jeremiah Gosnell, Joshua Gosnell, Daniel (Irene) Gosnell and Kimberly Gosnell; grandchildren, Christian Whitfill and Victoria Whitfill; her mother, Lillie Watts; siblings, Regina (Wayne) Redmon, Steve Thompson, Linda (Graham) Noonan and Donald Thompson; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
