Sheila Rhonda Devine, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many, departed this world on August 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on December 31, 1946, Sheila embraced life with a vivacious spirit that shone brightly in all she endeavored.
Throughout her journey, Sheila exemplified grace and strength, facing both joys and challenges with unwavering resolve. Her laughter, a melodic echo that could brighten the gloomiest of days, will forever resonate in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known her. She had an uncanny ability to connect with others, offering solace and inspiration through her words and actions. Her world revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sheila was an avid UK fan and loved the Tennessee mountains.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Dorothy Baxter; daughter, Buffy Jo Devine; husband, Paul Devine; brother-in-laws, Dorsey Stull and Charlie Devine and sister-in-law, Charlene Devine.
Shelia leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Valerie (Ray) Hebert; grandchildren, Brandon (Shyann) Cureton, Dustin Decker, Lindsey (Devin) Cureton, Wesley Cureton and Taylor Pigram; great-grandchildren, Payton, Kylie, Bentley, Karter, Bailey, Winston, Ellie and Elijah; siblings, Karen (Bobby) Cunningham, Trudy Baxter and Jeff (Melissa) Baxter and numerous nieces, nephews and friends
As we prepare to honor her memory, family and friends are invited to gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville. The visitation will take place on September 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 4:00 PM.
