Shawn A.(Jeffers) Scott

May 21, 1964 — March 15, 2014

Shawn A. (Jeffers) Scott passed on March 15, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born in Iola, Kansas and resided in Wichita, Kansas before moving to Louisville in 2001. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald L. Jeffers of Louisville. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her two daughters, Sydney A. and Peyton J. Scott. She is also survived by her mother, Jeanette M. Jeffers, significant other, Andrew J. Ross and ex-husband, Ted J.Scott. She was deeply loved and will be enormously missed.

She was employed by the Oldham County Board of Education for thirteen years. During her tenure as an Administrative Assistant for Facilities, she leaves behind colleagues and friends with whom she had developed a deep friendship. Her outgoing, enthusiastic, and humorous personality was contagious to all she knew. She believed in this statement: Life is too short to be anything but happy, love deeply, give everything with no regrets, forget the past with exception of what you have learned, and remember everything happens for a reason.

A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, March 18, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
Per her request, she will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, donations to lustgarten.org for pancreatic cancer research or www.norton healthcare.com/OnlineDonations (Norton Healthcare Foundation) would be appreciated.
