Shauntae "Shaun" Dmone Bartee, 45, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. Shauntae was a kind hearted person who loved his family. He was a loving husband, great father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all. He was a protector, provider, and would always be there if you needed him. Shaun will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
He was born on November 2, 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky to Frank and Gwendolyn Bartee. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother who loved him dearly, Pinkie Alice Seward.
Shauntee attended Doss High School where he played football and played the saxpohone in the band. He was a former employee of Misa Metal Processing Inc. Before his illness he was employed at Master Brand Cabinet Company where he worked before his illness.
Shauntae is survived by his loving Wife of 25 years, Litikia Y Jenkins Bartee Jenkins; Mother, Gwendolyn Cooksey Bartee and Father, Frank Bartee, Jr.; Children, Shauntae Bartee, Ra'Shaun Bartee, Breshaun Bartee, D'Montaye Bartee, and Kamecka Bartee; Grandchildren, Harmony Taylor, August Bartee, and Antonio Glenn; Siblings, D'Nisha Bartee and Frank Bartee, III, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson Street, Louisville, KY 40210. His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson Street, Louisville, KY 40210 with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Pallbearers will include BreShaun Bartee, Frank Bartee III, Ra'Shaun Bartee, Alex Ingram Jr, Neal Lewis and Darrell Long II. Honorary Pallbearers will include D'Montae Bartee, Michael Miller and Robert Scott.
The family requests that contributions in Shauntae's memory be made to the funeral for funeral services.
