Shaun Roux, 23, passed away on February 1, 2013. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying activities such as hunting, water skiing, and four-wheeling.
He was born on July 4, 1989 in Estcourt Natal, South Africa to Charl J. and Cheryl-Ann (Barkhuizen) Roux. Along with his parents he is survived by his sister, Mystique Roux; grandparents, Lorna Oliver, Johan Roux, Roy Barkhuizen; aunts and uncles, Charmaine Dutoit, Marchaine Wright (Graeme), Tracy Sharp, and Martin Barkhuizen (Estelle). He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Yvonne Barkhuizen.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11 AM at Christ Gospel Church (2614 E. 10th Street, Jeffersonville) with visitation at the church Wednesday beginning at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
