Sharon Teson, 64, of Louisville, KY passed away on August 11, 2013. She was retired from the U.S. Census Bureau after 17 years of service.
Sharon was born on August 5, 1949, in San Diego, CA to the late William and Carolyn Dettlinger. She had twenty-eight years sobriety in a 12-step program, sponsored numerous women achieving sobriety, was a supporter of National Humane Society and adopted many retired Greyhounds. Sharon was also a devoted NASCAR fan. She was a proud Army veteran, spending 3 years as an Army medic.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles Allan Teson; son, Paul Edward Krahwinkel; sisters, Wanda LeGaux (Ernie) and Shirley Haburne (Bobby); brothers, Charles Milton Dettlinger (Donna) and Russell Anderson Gibson Jr. (Darlene); grandson, Jarrad Krahwinkel; great-granddaughter, Kayla Beth Krahwinkel; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus of Louisville, Greyhound Pets of America (Louisville Chapter), or the American Cancer Society.
