Sharon Denise Gordon was born on March 25, 1954 to Robert Turner Fleming and Geneva Acklin Fleming. She was the youngest of four children. On March 8, 1975, she married Donald Gordon, they were teenage sweethearts. From this 48-year union, they had four daughters- LaTanya, Tyrra, Donica, and Sherri. Sharon retired from Phillip Morris and later returned back to school and received a degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.
Sharon had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was infectious. She was the life of the party and she thoroughly enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Sharon was a woman of God and she never met a stranger. She was a welcoming space for so many who needed a listening ear, encouragement, inspiration, prayer, or just needed someone to be there for them. She loved shopping, listening to music and singing in the church choir where she praised God with everything she had.
Sharon's greatest love was her family, who were her everything. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was the pillar of her family. Sharon strived to give her family the very best of herself. She was a best friend, confidant, and vessel of wisdom to her husband, daughters and grandchildren.
Sharon was met at the gates of Heaven by her parents, Robert T. Fleming, Geneva Fleming Murray; stepfather Charles Murray; brothers, Ronald and Robert Fleming.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Donald; daughters, LaTanya, Tyrra, Donica, and Sherri; grandchildren, Quanisha, Brittany, Donshae, Tyron, Jaylen and Jada; sister, Brenda Williams (Bernard "BP"); four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and exceptional friends.
