Sharon Lynn Bush

Sharon Lynn Bush, 68, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 after a battle with cancer, but she did not let the cancer slow her down. Sharon was a strong fighter that loved her family fiercely and was always up for a new adventure. Whether she was exploring nature, running after grandkids, hanging with the Bunco gals, or being a Mamaw to the hundreds of daycare kids that she treated as her own, she was up for anything and would do it with a smile and kindness that can't be matched.

Even though Sharon was taken too soon, she lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who adored her and her kind soul and loving heart. She was able to make all feel loved and important in her own ways: her famous oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and Christmas candy to brighten someone's day; her compassionate listening when someone needed to talk; and her Mamaw hug for kids that will be incredibly missed.

She was born on February 21, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Hascal Dennison, Sr. and Mary Davison Dennison. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Ann Pigg, Larry Dennison and Hascal Dennison, Jr.; and grandson, Corey Bush.

Sharon is survived by her children, Jason (Kelly) Bush, Jeremy Bush and Jennifer (Seth) Jewell; grandchildren, Lucas Bush, Abby Bush, Fox Warren, Jett Jewell and Madelyn Hamilton; brothers, Marvin Dennison, Sr. and Ronnie (Traci) Dennison; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home.
