Shari Lea (Heuser) Carter

Shari Lea (Heuser) Carter, 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024. She was a 1978 graduate of New Albany High School. Along with being a lifelong Bulldogs fan, Shari also cheered for the Purdue Boilermakers, Indiana Hoosiers and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Shari loved spending time with her daughter, Jodi, and making visits to River Run Family Water Park on hot summer days.

She was born on March 9, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to the late Leon and JoAnne (Magness) Heuser. Shari is survived by her loving daughter, Jodi Brough; four-legged companion, Romeo; and many cousins and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shari’s memory may be made to the Floyd County Animal Rescue League (PO Box 241, New Albany, IN 47150).
