Shannon M. Henderson, 26, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at her home. Shannon was a beautiful person on the inside and out, but most importantly she was a great mother to her son.
Shannon was born on August 27, 1985 in Louisville to Charlotte E. (Lindsey) Henderson and the late Michael W. Henderson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gavin Michael Henderson and grandfather, Bob Henderson.
Along with her mother, she is survived by her son, Brayden Michael Henderson; sisters, Ashlie Combs and her husband, Wayne, Michaelyn Henderson; grandparents, Wanda Henderson, John Lindsey, Michael and Sally Halas; aunts and uncles, Michael Lindsey and his wife, Lisa, Steve Lindsey and his partner, Craig Pickering, Kelly Henderson and his wife, Kathy, Mark Henderson and his wife, Marty, Roberta "Sissy" Snyder; niece, Abigail Henderson; and many cousins.
Cremation was chosen following Shannon's wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) is handling the arrangements. Contributions in Shannon's memory may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital.
