Shannon Simmons Mannering, 49, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Shannon was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, and MiMi. Her family meant the world to her and her granddaughter was her pride and joy. Shannon will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She was born on April 20, 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ronald and Diane (Smith) Simmons. She is preceded in death by her mother, Diane Simmons.
Shannon is survived by her loving family, daughter, Cassidi (Austin) Sumser; father, Ronald Simmons; granddaughter, Bexley Sumser; as well as a host of friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Beechland Baptist Church, 4613 Greenwood Road, Louisville, KY 40258.
The family requests that contributions in Shannon's memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
