Shanequa Chavonne White
December 3, 1980 — December 15, 2022
Shanequa Chavonne Jones-White was born to the late Bishop John and Laura Jones on December 3, 1980.
She received Christ at Greater Harvest Church, at the early age of 10. She loved to sing and was active in the church, where she served in the praise and worship and choir ministries. She comes from a musically inclined family of great singers and instrumentalists.
She obtained her GED, achieved many accomplishments in the health-care field (e.g., home health aide, CNA, QMA), and eventually obtained her LPN nursing degree. She had a passion for the geriatric population and utilized her degree to help and serve those in nursing home facilities.
Shanequa had an affectious personality and smile. She could brighten up any room, due to her caring, loving, funny, giving, supportive, and strong-willed nature. She was an avid reader and animal lover. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, writing stories, watching action movies, and traveling with friends and family.
Shanequa was also frugal, as she would request a "to go" box, no matter how small the portion size, and at the same time was also a selfless individual, often putting the needs others above herself.
Shanequa left a lasting impact on our lives and will be incredibly missed. She leaves behind her loving mother, Phyllis Jean Jones, husband of 18 years, Orlando White Sr., five children, Da'Shanae Rowe-Downer (Freddie Downer), Orlando White Jr (by marriage), Mykailya Jones, Shalandria White, Sha'moni White, and two grandchildren, Davian & Riah Rowe-Downer, five siblings from mother, LaTanya Jones,
La'Neice Unseld (Lorenzo Unseld), Lawrence Jones (Erica Jones), William Jones, Shaneen Jones, and host of half-siblings, nieces, and nephews.
One of her favorite scriptures of encouragement and reflection was John 14:1-4. She was known to praise the lord with all her might, often dancing as David did. But she is now in peace, resting with our lord.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Kingdom Fellowship Christian Life Center, (324 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Thursday, at Kingdom Fellowship Christian Life Center with burial to follow at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
