Scott Spears, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
He was born on August 24, 1961 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ty and Pat (Gebhart) Spears.
Scott was a 1987 graduate from U of L Speed School with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was one of the owners of Land Design & Development, Inc., where he worked for 26 years. Scott and his family were avid cruisers and spent time going to Madeira Beach Florida, some of his other hobbies included horse racing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends by the pool.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Debra Lynne Spears; children, Brandon Scott Spears (Jenn), Christi Vandersyde; two granddaughters, Gabriella and Madilyn Vandersyde; and siblings, Bruce Spears (Donna), Donna Campbell and Kent Spears. He is also survived by in-laws, Wayne and Connie Morris and a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 12:00 pm/Noon on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Scott's memory be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Dress for Success Louisville.
