Scott Thomas Sandifer

Scott Thomas Sandifer, 65, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He had a career as an electrician and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany.

He was born on October 17, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles and Nancy (Thompson) Sandifer. Along with his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Gettelfinger.

Scott is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet (Hubert) Sandifer; daughters, Julie Aria (Robert), Sara Coleman (Justin); grandchildren, Nora Jean Coleman, Dawson Ray Coleman, Amelia Rose Aria; sister, Shannon Speth (Gary, Jr.); brother, Andrew Sandifer (Carla); and brother-in-law, Bernie Gettelfinger.

Scott's wish was to be cremated and a gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a memorial service taking place at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott's memory may be made to The V Foundation (14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513) or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
