Scott Michael Gentry, 59, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on April 23, 2022. He was born to Harley & Elizabeth Gentry on November 21, 1962 and was raised alongside two siblings.
Scott was a professional musician, composer, music teacher, soccer coach, and a substitute teacher for JCPS. He played everything but was most known for playing lead guitar. He was very well known in the Louisville Music Scene. In his free time, he was always incorporating music into his life, one way or another. He lived his life for music and his beautiful daughter.
Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Gentry, and the love of his life, Sheila Crenshaw. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, Harley (Leigh Anne) Gentry; his daughter, Alyssa (Nick) Frank; his siblings, Christy Gentry & Todd Gentry, as well as a whole lot of friends who truly loved him a lot: "The Jam-ily"
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Musicians Emergency Resource Foundation Inc. (https://www.louisvillelivemusic.com/) Funds can be made payable to "MERF" and sent to Mom's Music (1900 Mellwood Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206).
