Scott Harold Davis

Scott Harold Davis, 73, of Edwardsville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in New Albany. He was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, the Masonic Lodge #480 in Georgetown, and the Korner Kitchen Coffee Club. Scott loved IU and Floyd Central Sports and hunting mushrooms every spring. He was a 1963 graduate of New Albany High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Scott loved everyone he knew and he was never ashamed to tell them so.

He was born on November 04, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Kermit Davis and Georgie (Hottel) Davis Pry. Along with his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his step-father, Ray Pry.

Scott is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet S. (Aemmer) Davis; children, Missy Michal (Ed), Julie Striegel (Rob), Lisa Barker (Todd) and Anita Richert; grandchildren, Nick Michal, Scott Striegel (Ashley), Brandi Striegel, Tessa Barker, and Chase Rapp; brother, Kermit L. Davis (Marla Kay); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, IN 47150) with a Masonic Service at 5 PM. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the chapel of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery-Tunnel Hill in Edwardsville.
