Scott Thomas Brown, 55, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022.
He was born on May 31, 1967 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Donald and Linda (Rucker) Brown. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Brown.
Scott connected easily with people and was thus drawn to the healing profession. He received a Master's Degree in Social Work and began his PHD in psychology . He was a wonderful counselor and he cared about his clients. Perhaps he was drawn to the profession, because he was no stranger to the struggles of the soul. Scott had a keen sense of humor.
He was a bright light and often brought a smile to others, while he himself was struggling. Scott experienced deep sadness and periods of passionate euphoria, which hindered the unfolding of his potential. Scott's connection to spirit came through his love of music and interest in Psychology. He was not a religious person and any attempts to spiritualize him were met with a firm, "no thank you". Scott has left our earthly world, and is in a place of Light where hopefully he can hear The Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan playing in the background.
Scott is survived by his loving mother, Linda Brown, sister Donna Lynn, nephew Jonah Wright as well as a host of family and friends.
A gathering will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Scott's memory be made to Wellspring (225 W. Breckenridge St. Louisville, KY. 40203).
