Sandra Kay (Wright) Whitten, 52, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday morning, August 25, 2017. She enjoyed riding her bike and going on walks where she never met a stranger.
She was born on October 31, 1964, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Stanley L. and Phyllis (Sailings) Wright. Along with her parents, Sandra is survived by her children, Autumn Wright and Austin Whitten; siblings, Brenda Hack (Pete), Richard Lee Wright, Arty Wright, and Linda Corrine Wright; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Sandra's memory be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
