Sandra Linville

Sandra "Sandy" K Linville, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 6, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 13, 1956 to Herbert and Betty Willis in Winchester Virginia.

Sandy graduated from Atherton High School, Class of 1974. She met and married the love of her life, Billy "Carlos" Linville, on March 6, 1976. Together they raised 4 beautiful children. From the 1980's on, she dedicated her life to watching and developing young lives as a babysitter. It was her calling. She watched over 4 generations of children, caring for the kids of kids she helped raise. She touched the lives of around 600 children in her lifetime and did so up until the day she passed. She had a heart for Jesus and loved spending time with her family at Christmas time. She loved her 3 dogs, traveling, and cheering for the University of Louisville. She truly loved being a grandmother. She committed herself to being at all sporting events, shopping sessions, and the grandkids spending the night with her every week. Her goal was to be the best grandmother she could. Sandy had an infectious smile and laugh- she tried to remain positive always. Sandy was a true "ray of sunshine".

Sandy is preceded by her parents, Herbert and Betty Willis; her grandmother, Francis Roadhouse "Mammy", and her great-aunt, Myrtle Jackson. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 46 years, Billy "Carlos" Linville; her four children, Jordan Linville, Jacob (Courtney) Linville, Jalon (Molly) Linville, Rebekah (Alex) Linville; her four grandchildren, Atticus, Sloane, Cooper, and Rayna; and bonus child, Vincent Young; her brother, David Jackson; her great-aunt Peggy Alderson; her best friends, Beanie Grider and Lisa Prater, as well as other relatives and friends who will continue on her legacy.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 12:00pm – 8:00pm as well as additional visiting hours on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm with the service to begin at 2:00pm. Burial will take place at Jeffersontown Cemetery (3702 Billtown Rd, Louisville, KY 40299) on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 12:00pm.
