Sammy White

Sammy White, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Sammy was a devoted family man. He retired from Medical Center Laundry after 30 years of service and loved his retirement. Sammy loved cowboy and western movies, fishing, comedy, and boxing. He never made excuses for not getting things done; and he made sure his children didn't make excuses either. Sammy was not a fair weathered friend; if you needed his help, he was there. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on May 1, 1950 in Concord, North Carolina to Herbert and Daisy Clowney-White. He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert White and his mother, Daisy Bell White.

Sammy is survived by his loving family, life partner, Tellsia Turner; children, Michelle (Rad M.) Braggs, Damon (Anna ) Turner, Donna Turner; grandchildren, Gabriel Joseph, Donald Joseph, Jr., and Nicolette Joseph; brothers, Herbert (Annie) White, Jr., and Ricky White; mother-in-law, Neddetta Easton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend the option of sending flowers or making a donation in Sammy's memory to the Hildegard House.
