STAMPER, RUTH O., 81, left us to go to heaven Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 4:15 a.m.
She died in her sleep having been in LifeCare of Bardstown for 3 1/2 years. A big thank you to Hospice for their help and the love she received from her caregivers. She never complained and she kept us all laughing a lot considering what she was going through, the joy of the Lord shined through her ailing body.
"She raised four children after our father died at age 31. She went back to work and retired from the government. Ruth was the last of her immediate family. She was a loving mother to Paul David (deceased), Daniel Alan (Joyce), Rynda Fredrickson (William), and Lisa Lovins; Grandchildren, Tommy Stamper (Tania), Bobby Stamper, Trey Gilmore (Barrie), Ryan (Christy), Melanie (Shane), Chelsey Fredrickson (deceased), Bradley, David and Paul; great grandchildren, Travis and Jordan, Jazmine, and McKenzie. Mom loved the Bible , teaching Bible Prophecy. She was a soul winner." "We'll miss her baking, especially red velvet cakes. She played piano 'by ear' since she was 2 1/2 years old. I'm sure she is baking and cooking and having a joyful reunion with our Lord, Jesus, and all her loved ones."
She will be viewed Wednesday at the Middletown Newcomer's Funeral Home, off Shelbyville Road, from 1 -7 p.m., later to be cremated. Her remains will be interred at Rock Creek Cemetery, Leitchfield in Grayson county, at a later date.
Any monetary contributions can be made to Wayside Christian Missions, in Louisville or to Hospice of Nelson County in her memory.
