Ruth Ann Kidd

Ruth Ann Kidd, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on June 11, 2022. She was born on January 4, 1932, and was raised alongside six siblings. She attended Girls' High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Ruth married the love of her life on July 3, 1949, and together they had two sons. She was employed with and retired from the State of Kentucky and the Jefferson County Public Schools, particularly enjoying working with Goldsmith Elementary for 12 years.

Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 73 years, Garvis Kidd; her children, Garvis Kidd Jr., Bryan (Pamela) Kidd; her grandchildren, Laura (Jeff) Sharp, Kim (Aaron) Parker, Matt Kidd, Jennifer (Mark) Suter, & Shannon Kidd; her great-grandchildren, Evan Sharp, Garrett Sharp, Penelope Parker, Elliot Parker, & Grey Parker.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. There will be a graveside service at Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204) on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (3703 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40220).
