Rudolph C. "Rudy" Armes, 70, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on August 27, 2013.
Rudy was born on August 27, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John W. & Virginia (Patzman) Armes. He served in the United States Navy and was a proud member of American Legion Post 42 in Floyds Knobs. Rudy retired from Naval Ordinance after many years of service. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Armes (Claudia) & Patrick Armes (Angie); siblings, John Armes (Judy), Richard Armes, Judy Stiller (Leon), Tom Armes (Joyce). Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Brian Rauck.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to William Zeb Longest American Legion Post 42 (4530 Paoli Pike, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119).
