Ruby Elizabeth Pearson

Ruby Elizabeth Pearson was Born on January 11th 1940, In Louisville KY, from the union of Ruben A. Greer, and Sally McDaniel Greer. Ruby received her Formal education at Central High school in Louisville, KY.

Ruby moved to Chicago, IL, and married Mr. Comer Pearson. Three Sons were born from their union: Comer Samuel Pearson Ronald Morris Pearson, and Michael Darrell Pearson.

Ruby insisted that her three sons become educated. Her favorite saying to them was, " If you get an education, NOBODY can Never take
that away from you." She also worked hard to keep her boys from getting involved in the rough Chicago street life. Ruby's efforts paid off, as all of her sons became educated, joined the U.S.Navy, and left Chicago

After Ruby's sons left Chicago, Ruby found her spiritual Salvation In the love of Jehovah God, and relocated back to Louisville, KY where the attended the Kingdom Hall in Louisville, KY.

Ruby is preceded in death by her mother and father, Sally McDaniel Greer, and Ruben A. Greer, husband Comer Pearson, sister Margaret L. West, and Great Nephews Tavaritch M. Greer, and Timothy L. Greer

Ruby leaves to cherish her memories her sons Comer, Ronald and Michael: Two nieces, Ina Greer- Njie, and Brenda Greer Clark, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with a celebration of Ruby's life beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Ruby will be laid to rest at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY at a later date.
