Ruby Jean Mason

Ruby Jean Mason, 72, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ruby enjoyed listening to country music and being outdoors, especially in her flower garden. She had a great sense of humor and was greatly loved by everyone. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

She was born on January 12, 1951, in Salem, Indiana, to Boyd and Margie (Atkins) Fuson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Ayers; brother, Boyd Fuson, Jr.; brother, Edwin Fuson; sister, Rhonda Arnold; and brother, Troy Fuson.

Ruby is survived by her loving husband, William Mason; daughter, Tonua (Eric) Proctor; daughter, Billie Jo (Chris) Adkins; son, Bobby Mason; sister/daughter, Tessie (Kenneth) Torpisch; niece/granddaughter, Tori (Jordan) Lynton; grandson, Cory Proctor; granddaughter, Angel Adkins; grandson, Ryan Adkins; grandson, Cameron (Amanda) Proctor; nephew/grandson, Paul Moberly; grandson, Chase Mason; grandson, Cole Proctor; grandson, Curklan Proctor; great-grandson, Owen Adkins; great-grandson, Levi Lynton; sister, Ruth (Rick) Brumbeck; brother, Roy (Debbie) Fuson; brother, Timmy Fuson; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
