Ruby Lee(Ashley) Hubler

Ruby Lee (Ashley) Hubler, 87, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015. She retired from Green Valley Nursing Home and worked at the McDonald's on State Street during her retirement years. Ruby was a member of Hour of Power Church in New Albany.
She was born on May 24, 1927 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Samuel and Lela (Day) Ashley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bus" Hubler; sisters, Klydia Wombold, Dorothy Dent; and son-in-law, Danny Chisum.
Ruby is survived by her children, Steven Neuner (Shirley), Janie Alexander (Timothy), Larry "Jimmy" Roberson, Herchel "Jerry" Roberson (Pam), Judy Chisum; siblings, Joyce Puckett, Ruth Cash (Howard), William Ashley (Linda), Robert Ashley (Mary Susan); grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Natalie, Maddox, Madison, Mallory; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150) with her Funeral Service taking place at 7 PM. Cremation will follow according to Ruby's wishes.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the New Albany/Floyd County Animal Shelter (215 W. Market Street, New Albany).
