Ruby (Kerr) Johnson, 96, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022.
She was born on July 14, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Andrew and Dellar (Meredith) Kerr. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Lucy Young, Eva Sadler, Ruth Bentley and brothers Lawrence, Andrew, Roy and Kenneth Kerr.
Ruby was a longtime resident at Graystone Manor and their President for many years, she worked for many years in the insurance business for American States Insurance, Reager & Harris and Hobday & Kinker. She was the loving mother of her furbabies Demi, Odie, Pierre and Pepe.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Paula Johnson, son, Greg L. Johnson Sr., two grandchildren; Greg L. Johnson Jr. (Kate), Ruby Carrie Germeroth (Ryan) and six great-grandchildren; Brooklyn and Keegan Johnson, Grace, Eliza, Minna and Sarah Germeroth.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Ruby's memory be made to the Animal Care Society (12207 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40245).
