Roy W. Grimes

Roy W. Grimes, 68, of New Albany, passed away on November 25, 2012. He was the former owner of Roy's Window Covering. Roy was a member of Elks Lodge #270, VFW Post 1693 Hobart Beach in New Albany. He had a love of the outdoors ,spending time with his family and driving his convertible on wine tasting trips.

He was born on January 14, 1944 in Georgetown, Indiana to the late Charles P. and Wilhelmina (Spiegelhalder) Grimes. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Kevin W. and Richard "Todd" Grimes; and brother, Gerald Grimes. Roy is survived by the love of his life, Brenda Baxter; siblings, Lorraine Arrington (Lee), Frances Seymour, Robert "Bobby" Grimes (Judy); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
