Rothel Duane Bullock, 67, returned to his heavenly home on November 1, 2018 after a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer. His devotion to his family and his walk with God has supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Rothel was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 12, 1950 to James M. & Laura S. Hunt Bullock. Rothel was a graduate of the Class of 1968 from William Mason High School, Mason, OH. He and His wife Brenda Elaine Goldsmith Bullock were married June 21, 1969.
Rothel was proceeded in death by his parents; James M. & Laura Sibyl Bullock. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Brenda E. Bullock, their son Rothel J. Bullock (Heather L.), Grandchildren, Taylor Creek and Garrison Bullock. Brother; Gary D. Bullock (Cam), Nephew; Joshua T. Bullock (Christie) Great Niece and Nephew, James and Anna Bullock. Niece; Betsy K. Scarborough (Thomas) Great Nieces and Nephew, Ashlee, Avery and Alex. Sister in Law; Bonnie S. Koch, Nephew; Stephen L. Koch; Great Nephew, Christopher Koch; Rothel is also survived by a host of amazing friends.
Rothel was a member of Highview Baptist Church where he gladly served as a Deacon and finance committee member since 2005.
Rothel was founder of Bullock Oil Company in Lagrange, KY, He and his family started in June of 1983. During his career he served as Chairman of Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association, working to develop and promote government relations for the petroleum industry in our state.
Visitation will be held at Highview Baptist Church East Campus located at 12501 Shelbyville Road, in Louisville KY, on Sunday afternoon November 4th from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m., followed by a Celebration of life at 6:30 p.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor Aaron Harvey and Denis Tocci.
A private burial service will be held Monday at the Valley of Rest Cemetery in Lagrange.
