Ross Scharfenberger
Ross N. "Skip" Scharfenberger, 73, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at home. He recently moved from Little River, South Carolina.
He was retired from General Electric Company after 38 years of service. He also retired from Springs Industries of South Carolina. Skip served his country in the Army. He was an alumni of Xavier University and Vanderbilt University.
He was the son of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Weigand) Scharfenberger from Reading, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carole Scharfenberger; sons, Chris Scharfenberger and his wife Kelly, Kurt Scharfenberger and his wife Meghann; grandchildren, Kari, Jenna, Kevin, Joshua and Alexandra; and a brother G. Earl Scharfenberger.
Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, PO Box 3369, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29582.
