Rosemary Denny

Rosemary (Steinert) Wright Denny, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Lincoln Hills Healthcare, surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany. Rosie had worked at National Health Lab and the Steinert's Tavern. Rosemary was a past president of the American Women Business Association.

Rosie was born on February 21, 1930 to the late Joseph J. and Rose (Schaefer) Steinert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Bert" Denny; brothers Mike and Paul Steinert and sisters, Dorothy Bell and Martha Banet.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Ransdell; brother, James Steinert; grandchildren, David (Katie) Ransdell and Sarah (Rick) Edwards; 2 great-grandchildren, Daniel Dawkins and Derrick Ransdell; several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Miss Chubs.

Visitation will be from 12 to 6 PM Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 E. Eighth St., New Albany) with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
