Evelyn Rose Nelson, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
She was born on April 4, 1933 in Rineyville, Kentucky to the late William and Harriet (Brown) Witt. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Nelson, two sisters, Gladys and Clara, brother, C.B. and son-in-law, Charlie McCarty.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jean McCarty, Charlotte Kay (Otte) Oechslin (Keith "Otis"), grandchildren, Amy Otte (Kelley), Ashley Williamson (Lance), Austin McDonald, Adrien Vance (Chris), Abram McCarty (Jess), great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Messer, Kylee Sells, Carter Vance, Angel and Austin McDonald. She is also survived a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Eastside Praise Church Of God, (6300 Billtown Road Louisville, KY 40299). Private entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions in Rose's memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville and/or the Eastside Praise Church of God.
