Rose Marie Whelan, 68, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013, in Louisville, KY. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude Goodman. Marie enjoyed taking rides in the country with her brother Kenneth, loved being with family, was an avid animal lover and loved all kinds of jewelry.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Ricky Lee Whelan and her brother, James F. Goodman.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Evelyn) Whelan; daughters, Janet Whelan and Karen Dawson; grandchildren, Josh, Philip, Tiffany, Shane, Lauren, Angel, Devyn and Rachel: great-grandchildren, Ezra and Adaley; brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Goodman and sister, Nancy (Roger) Luther and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, from 4pm-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY and Monday, August 16, from 9am-11am. Funeral services will be at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel. Burial will be at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, located about one mile south of Bonnieville,
