Mrs. Rose Jennie Malina, age 59 of Louisville passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Formerly of Chicago, Rose was employed by UofL Hospital, and was preceded in death by her parents, George and Avera Graf Bastek.
She is survived by her loving companion of 20 years, Harold Carnes; son Jason Malina (Lisa); siblings, Richard Bastek (Theresa), Marian Green (David), Harriet White (Sam), George Bastek, Patricia Zabawa (John), Florence Stromdahl, Stanley Bastek (Mary), Robert Bastek (Mary), James Bastek (Michelle), Karen Cavins (Steve); grandchildren Taylor and Riley Malina.
Memorial mass of celebration will be 10:30 am Tuesday, August 23rd, St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, Louisville 40258. A second memorial mass of celebration will be 10:00 am Friday, August 26th, at St. Mary's of the Angels Church, 1850 Hermitage in Chicago. Memorials may be made to Hosparus.
