Ronnie Delbert Philpot

Ronnie Delbert Philpot, 81, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Ronnie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. and a member of the Floyds Knobs American Legion Post 42. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. Ronnie was known for visiting the casino in his spare time and loved spending time with his family more than anything.

He was born in Wallins Creek, Kentucky to the late Delbert Philpot and Sarah (Noe) Saylor. Along with his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Abt.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Martha Philpot; sons, Larry Philpot, Shaun Philpot, and Brian Cruse; grandchildren, Kaia, Colin, Brooke, Alisa, Devin, and Cody; sister, Yvonne (Gene) Lawson; and brother, Robert (Wendy) Saylor.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Monday, at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Galena Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.

The family requests that contributions in Ronnie's memory be made to American Cancer Society.
